SPECIAL DISABILITY LEAVE

Rule 83, 83-A:

Granted by the Govt. only. This leave is admissible to permanent and temporary Govt. servants who is disabled by injury intentionally
inflicted or caused or in consequence of due performance of official duties or in consequence of his official position.

It shall not be granted unless the disability manifested itself, is brought to notice within three months from the date of occurrence.

The grant of such leave is subject to the issue of medical certificate to be issued by the Medical Board in respect of Gazetted Officers and Civil Surgeons in case of others.

Such leave shall not exceed 24 months. It may be combined with leave of any other kind.

It may be granted more than once, if the disability is aggravated or reproduced in similar circumstances at a later date, but not more than 24 months of such leave shall be granted in consequent of any one disability

Leave salary equal to leave on full pay is payable for the first 120 days in respect of permanent employees and 30 days in respect of the temporary employees and half pay for the remaining period without debit to any leave account.

Ruling: The disability does not include the disability caused in the road accidents while going to office from residence and vice versa, but includes road accident while proceeding on official duty from office to office, or court or a work spot on the field.

The powers to sanction of special disability leave to the Police Personnel for a period not exceeding 12 months subject to fulfilment of the conditions referred to under FR 83(1)(2)(3) are delegated to the Director General and Inspector General of Police.

The powers to sanction of special disability leave to the Police Personnel for a period not exceeding 12 months are further re-delegated to the Additional Director General (Personnel).

స్పెషల్ డీసెబిలిటీ లీవ్

ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగులు / ఉపాధ్యాయులు తాను ఉద్యోగ బాధ్యత నిర్వహణలో ఉన్న సమయంలో గాని, లేదా ఎన్నికల విధులు నిర్వర్తించుచున్న సమయంలో గాని, కార్యాలయం పనికై తమ కార్యాలయం నుండి లేదా  కోర్టు కేసు విషయంలో వెళ్లుచున్నపుడు గాని, ఏదైనా రోడ్ ఆక్సిడెంట్ కు గురయినపుడు వైద్యుల సిపారసు మేరకు మూడు నెలల వరకు స్పెషల్ డీసెబిలిటీ లీవ్ మంజూరి చేయవచ్చును. రెండు నెలల వరకు అయితే గవర్నమెంట్ మెడికల్ అధికారి నుండి తెచ్చిన ధ్రువీకరణ సరిపోవును.

ఒకవేళ మొదటిసారి చికిత్స తరువాత అంగవైకల్యం తిరిగి పునరావృతము అయి డీసెబిలిటీ ఏర్పడితే తిరిగి ఈ సెలవు పొందవచ్చు. ఈ డెసెబిలిటీ లీవ్ కు 2 నెలలకు మించినదయితే సివిల్ సర్జెన్ గారు వైద్య ధ్రువపత్రము జారీ చేస్తారు కానీ మొత్తం ఈ సెలవు 24 నెలలకు మించరాదు.

కార్యాలయము నుండి ఇంటికి లేదా ఇంటి నుండి కార్యాలయమునకు ప్రయాణించునపుడు యాక్సిడెంట్ జరిగితే సెలవుకు అర్హులు కాదు.

ఈ డెసెబిలిటీ సెలవును ఇతర సెలవులతో కలిపి పొందవచ్చును.

ఈ సెలవు పెన్షన్ కు డ్యూటీగా లెక్కించబడును.

మొదటి 4 నెలల వరకు పూర్తి వేతనం లభించును. ఆ తరువాత కాలమునకు అర్ధవేతనము సెలవుగా లెక్కించి సగము వేతనం లభించును.
